Nothing like starting a new job by jumping right into it! I love being able to serve our kids and community, so that is why I'm going Over the Edge for Wakeman Boys & Girls Club!

On September 16, 2018, I will rappel 230 feet down the People's United Bank Building in Bridgeport, CT. But I can't do it without your help!
I have committed to raise at least $2000 to support Wakeman's mission: to guide and inspire young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring and responsible citizens.

Here's a little more info about Wakeman and what are up to:
The Southport Clubhouse provides meaningful after school and summer programming to more than 2,600 1st-12th graders. More than 90 programs are offered annually focusing on fitness, education, leadership development, the arts, and life skills. In the last year, 188 teens volunteered 5,281 hours at the Club and in the Community.

The Smilow-Burroughs Clubhouse provides families in the Black Rock and West End neighborhoods of Bridgeport with educational, recreation, and enrichment programs. 95% of 3rd-8th grade members achieve on-time grade progression and 100% of teens in the diplomas2Degrees college readiness program graduate high school and are accepted into college.

Wakeman’s Outreach at McKinley provides after school enrichment and mentoring programs to McKinley’s diverse student population. Programming focuses on strengthening students’ social skills, health and fitness, and academic achievement. The program engages 175 McKinley students and 110 teen volunteers annually, with 40 McKinley alumni returning as program volunteers.

A rebuild of the former North End Boys & Girls Club on Madison Ave in Bridgeport is currently underway, with groundbreaking expected in late 2018. This third clubhouse will serve youth in the Hollows Section of Bridgeport.

Please help me reach my goal so that I can go Over the Edge for Wakeman!
